Candy Girl (Mika Nakashima song)

"Candy Girl" is Mika Nakashima's 29th single, a collaboration with the Japanese women's fashion company SLY. Released on September 30, 2009, the single peaked at #4 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. However, the sales for Candy Girl were slightly lower than Over Load, with only 19,052 copies sold in the first week. Its current sales stand at 24,077.
Four editions of Candy Girl were released, each with a different cover and CD design. Three of the releases are Limited Edition releases; each of these three Limited Edition releases comes with a different T-shirt bearing the message: "Wake Up, Travelling Circus is Coming," in different colors.
Candy Girl is best described as a jazz-inflected soft pop song revolving around a circus theme. Its B-side, 'Smiley,' is also a soft acoustic pop song with a jazz-tinged arrangement.
